_"Hi my name is KC, short for Kathryn Cecele and I am California grown. Although originally from Ohio, I spent most of my life in California. I grew up in Sacramento and continued down south to California State University Long Beach to complete an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Physics. As I was finishing my degree last spring, I contemplated on what I wanted to do next and discovered AmeriCorps. I enjoy giving back and AmeriCorps seemed like the perfect option to not only help others, but also help with determining my future. Knowing that my sister lived in Colorado Springs, I decided I wanted a whole new experience; which in my mind meant an entirely new locale. I then began searching for positions near Colorado Springs. The Frontier Asset Building position immediately sparked my interest as a way to incorporate my mathematical and computing skills from school with my desire to serve others. After an application, a few interviews, and a 20 hour drive later… my adventure begins." - KC Skubic

_"My name is Chase Parker and I’ve recently joined the Frontier Asset Building AmeriCorps team as a VITA coordinator. I graduated from Miami University with a degree in accountancy in May 2009 and from there moved up to Minneapolis to work in KPMG’s audit practice. After about two years with KPMG, I decided to make the move to world of non-profits. I’m very excited about my position as a VITA coordinator and the potential to significantly help those in need in Denver and surrounding areas." - Chase Parker

"Hi, I'm Derek and I am just beginning my second term as an AmeriCorps Member with Frontier Asset Building. Originally from Mauston, WI, I made the move out west in November 2010 to take on the position of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program Unit Coordinator for Washington and Yuma Counties in Eastern Colorado. This year, I will continue working with the VITA Program as a VITA Unit Coordinator, and work to reach a larger population by providing them with the services our organization has to offer. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, particularly backpacking the Rocky Mountains and Desert Southwest where I get to immerse myself in the beautiful and remote places of these regions." - Derek Bartz

_"My name is Michele Vaught and this is my fourth term as an AmeriCorps member. I graduated from Michigan State University where I studied International Relations and Development and Asian Studies. After graduating I taught English in South Korea for a year and upon returning I did my first term as an AmeriCorps member with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps based out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. When I moved back to Michigan in October of 2010 I knew I wanted to come back to Colorado. That is how I started working with Frontier Asset Building in January of 2011. For my first term I did Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) focused on Northeastern Colorado. My second term I started working more with the Bootstraps Asset Building Education Program. Now, starting my third term, I am the Frontier Asset Building Coordinator and I will be working on all projects that Frontier takes on. We have an amazing team and I look forward to all the things we can accomplish!" - Michele Vaught
